Meet Our Trainers

Jason Wong
Education: Bachelor of Kinesiology – University of Calgary
Certification: CSEP-CPT, AFLCA (portable equipment and spin)
Jason has been very active throughout his life, he grew up playing soccer and got into strength training in high school. He started personal training in 2008 when he was at YMCA and has helped many clients become stronger versions of themselves. Jason’s training philosophy is centered around combining strength training and movement patterns to help clients achieve their goals and reduce the risk of injuries.
Jason has recently started to powerlift and competed in two meets in 2022. Jason has learned a lot about the squat, bench and deadlift. So if you’re looking for tips and help on any of those lifts, Jason is the person to ask.
Outside of work and the gym, Jason enjoys hanging out with friends and family, loves going to the movies and is an avid fan of the NFL.

Stephanie Davies
Education: NAIT Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma
Certification: CSEP-CPT and Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialization, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, Precision Nutrition Level 1, AFLCA (portable equipment, spin, mind & body)
Stephanie was introduced to fitness when her high school put in a gym, and was hooked! She always ran casually, but in her early twenties, she began participating in races and never looked back. Around the same time Steph discovered yoga, and loved the spiritual, mental, and physical meld that it provides. After years of going to the gym and fitness classes, she became an AFLCA instructor and began leading classes of her own. After a while, realizing she wanted to turn fitness into a full time career, she began taking classes while continuing to work full time. At 29, Steph left her role as a laboratory technician and dove into school full time at NAIT, earning a PFT diploma. Her practicum was at a physio clinic where she got to see the healing powers of movement in action. Now, with years of experience and more certifications, Steph loves working with clients of all types and abilities. She loves working with, “new to fitness” clients – teaching them the “how’s” and “why’s” of strength training and helping them build habits with behavioural changes. She loves watching her clients’ confidence in the gym grow and their techniques advance into more challenging movements. She continues to learn and develop her craft.
When she isn’t in the gym, you can find Stephanie outside, most often in the mountains. Usually she is out trail running, hiking, biking, camping, walking her dog, paddle boarding, or gardening. Steph believes in a balanced and sustainable lifestyle – that fitness is for everyone and for life, and that it should be fun! It is a gift that enhances the quality of our lives mentally and physically and should be accessible to everyone.
Philosophy: Movement is medicine

Brenda Keller
Education: PFT (MRC personal fitness trainer)
Certifications: CSEP – CPT (certified personal trainer)
AFLCA (group fitness / strength and conditioning)
Brenda has been a part of the fitness industry since 1994 through sports coaching and group fitness instruction. After graduating from MRC with a personal fitness trainer diploma in 2001, she became a full-time personal trainer.
Brenda prides herself in providing her clients with the most up-to-date information; new, fun and exciting workout programs; and her support. Her overall goal is to create an atmosphere of positive thinking where her clients can be pushed to go beyond where they think they can go, to achieve those things they think are impossible to accomplish. Acknowledging those days when energy levels might be low, or life-stresses are getting her clients down, she helps them to maintain consistency in their training habits, which is key for long-term success.
As an individual who has struggled with her own body weight issues, she has a passion and understanding for those going through their own weight loss / maintenance journey. Working with clients to assist them in nutritional decisions, encouraging their growth and providing them with a number of ways to achieve their lifestyle goals is what she strives to do.
Brenda has worked with individuals with acute injuries, pre/post-natal care concerns, and a variety of physical limitations; as well as with those with chronic conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis. Other practitioners, such as physiotherapists, massage therapists and chiropractors, may have a vital role in the training capabilities of her clients; therefore working with the advice of the treating practitioner is always a consideration.
In her free time she loves kickboxing, traveling, and spending time outside. Her two boys are the highlight of her life and she takes every opportunity possible to spend time with them. When she’s looking to kick-back, she enjoys scrapbooking, and relaxing with a great cup of coffee, or maybe a glass of wine.
